Mastering Motivation with Supportive Accountability

I don't know about you, but after returning from the holidays, my inbox is intense this week.

My email and social media feeds are chock-full of messages about setting new year's resolutions, how to perfectly plan the year, getting those goals, and lots of other high energy and expectations for what 2024 will become.

As a strategist and advisor, I frequently talk about how important it is to have a vision or direction for where you're headed.

But I have a confession to make.

I am not a "goal-oriented" person. (In fact, many driven, high-achieving folks, aren't!)

I've discovered that I'm most motivated and successful when:

→ I have a key theme, intention or learning objective I'm working toward
→ I know how I want to feel while working toward it
→ I can see the progress I'm making or feel the momentum building through my actions

The other thing I've discovered is that I'm most likely to remain committed to that theme, intention, or objective when I share it with a trusted advisor or colleague.

If you're like me - thinking beyond the goals and resolutions you'll set this year to considering how you'll stay focused and motivated to achieve them - here's a little something that can help.

Take two minutes right now to fill out the form at this link and share what you're working on: https://lnkd.in/eQKeWtiA.

It can be a goal, intention, how you want to feel - anything you could use some support sticking with this year.

We'll send you a check-in note at some point this year to see how you're doing and help you celebrate your progress.

Just like that, you'll have taken an important step toward 2024 being the year you want it to be.

And even though it's a small step, don't forget to celebrate it - because that's a critical component of motivation and momentum, too.
